Cast with a pair of loop handles rising from a flared rim above a string band raised around the curving exterior walls of the deep well raised on three tall cylindrical legs, the surfaces displaying earthen encrustations upon the mottled malachite-tinged patina (portions of the vessel cleaned). Molded with a raised edge around the shallow recessed well and supported on a tall foot ring, the pale gray-blue glaze thinning along the rim to a pale olive and also covering the recessed base (chip). Diameter 6 1/8in (15.5cm) - Estimate: $3,000 - 5,000 - Unsold.

A celadon glazed porcelain foliate rim bowl - 13th/14th Century

Its wide and deep interior well molded in shallow linear relief with outlines of eight lotus petal-shaped reserves surrounding four opposing pairs of auspicious symbols, all visible beneath a pale blue-green glaze layer of yingqing type applied to all surfaces except the broad foot and shallow recessed base burnt to a pale buff color (chipped). Diameter 7in (18cm) - Estimate: $1,000 - 1,500  - Unsold.

A good blue and white pottery deep dish - Vietnam, Late 15th/Early 16th Century

Thickly potted and carefully painted in bright cobalt outline and wash with a xiangcai band filling the rim flange, flower heads alternating with leaf scrolls along the cavetto and a stylized peony roundel surrounded by a peony petal frame across the slightly convex floor of the well, the exterior walls displaying a jeweled petal band, all beneath a colorless glaze of faint ivory cast, the unglazed recessed base finished with chocolate brown wash (wear to glaze). Diameter 14 1/2in (37cm) - Sold for $20,000 plus Premium and tax
