A Longquan celadon charger and stand - Ming Dynasty

The charger thickly potted, its canted rim flange lightly incised to the biscuit with scroll work and a flowering branch outlined across the floor of its curving well, a lustrous olive-green glaze covering all surfaces except for a cinnamon-burnt firing ring on the recessed base; the tall stand of circular section featuring a foliate rim, pierced waist above six curving trefoil legs with reeded edges descending to the sturdy foot ring and the glaze covering most surfaces of grey-green hue (polished down chip). 15 3/4 and 11in (40 and 28cm) -
Estimate: $5,000 - 7,000  - Unsold.

Of inverted bell form, its thick walls molded in relief on the exterior with lingzhi fungus branches issuing from the mouths and tails of stylized chilong, the grey-green glaze covering all surfaces except the dark iron-washed foot pad (star cracks). 11in (28cm) diameter - Sold for $3,250 plus Premium and tax

Painted in shades of brilliant cobalt wash and outline with a qilong chasing a flaming pearl around the neck, a flower head and hexagonal diaper-patterned band around the shoulder and thee lion dogs contending among ribboned and embroidered balls, all beneath a lustrous glaze that continues across the recessed base centered with a double ring drawn in underglaze blue. 18in (45.5cm) high - Sold for $18,000 plus Premium and tax

Elaborately molded with a body of pail shape spreading outward above a cylindrical foot, painted in brilliant cobalt line and wash with dragons, flower heads and leaf scrolls in reserve within a large cloud collar band, further flowers and leaves in reserve within a band of diagonal flower petals above lotus scroll and geometric bands surrounding the tall foot, the recessed base left unglazed and the domical cover painted en suite (glazes abraded). 24 1/4in (61.5cm) high - Sold for $15,000 plus Premium and tax

Each molded to the exterior walls with raised lotus leaf panels, each painted with leaf sprigs below a continuous landscape below the rim featuring beauties playing musical instruments or reading, the interior walls and the floor featuring flower head and leaf-scroll patterns, the recessed base displaying the six-character mark in regular script written within a double ring (rim frits). 6in (15cm) diameter - Estimate: $10,000 - 15,000 - Unsold.
