Lot 141 De forme tulipée, décoré à l'extérieur en émaux polychromes sur fond corail, de branchages feuillagés et diverses fleurs telles que la pivoine, le lotus et le lilas, marque à quatre caractères dans un double carré 'Kangxi yuzhi' en bleu sous couverte sur fond blanc à la base ; deux fêles. Diamètre: 10,8 cm. (4¼ in.) - Estimé: €70,000-90,000

Note : Such bowls, whose four-character yuzhi marks were inscribed in underglaze-blue by the Jingdezhen kilns who made the porcelain, were painted in the Imperial Workshops in the Forbidden City.

Another bowl from the Charles Russell and Paul Bernat Collections, now in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, is illustrated by H. Moss, By Imperial Command, Hong Kong 1976, pl.74.
